What are conservative and nonconservative forces.give examples?

Conservative forces are those forces which are independent of the path followed and depends only on the end points...
for example:- gravitational force

Non-conservative forces are those forces which depends upon the path followed and doesn't depends on the end points....
for example:- force of friction
