Hi there,
Cookies are a message given to a web browser by a web server. The browser stores the message in a text file.some websites do use cookies to store more personal information about you, however, this can be done only if you provide that personal information, Legitimate websites will encrypt personal information stored in the cookie to prevent unauthorized usage by another party with access to your cookie folder. It is good for us in many aspect ,the copy of these web link get copied to your web server if it needed in future you can access it from wherever..

Hope this helps you :)
