dam is a structure which is constructed across the river bed to conserve water. The main objective is that dams are built to conserve water for future use. Hydro electricity is also generated.
Problems faced:
*People living in the forest areas will oppose it because to construct the dam large amount of trees are cut down.
*Tribals livelihood will be demolished.
*the forest dwellers will be unemployed
