By early November the low pressure conditions

over northwestern India get transferred to the Bay of Bengal.

2. This shift is associated with the occurrence of

cyclonic depressions which originate over the Andaman Sea.

3. These cyclones cross the eastern coasts of India

and cause heavy and widespread rain. These tropical cyclones are quite

destructive.

So the thickly populated deltas of the Godavari,

the Krishna and the Kaveri are struck by cyclones quite often.
