Determiners are a class of words which determine the way we refer to a noun or nouns.

A , an , the ,same, Any , much, many, all , each, every , no, none are all called determiners.

'A' is used before a singular noun

Example :- a child, a teacher, a horror movie.

'An' is used before a singular noun beginning with a vowel sound ( A, E, I, O and U )

Example:- an apple, an egg, an orange , an umbrella.

'The' is used before a singular noun when it refers back to a noun already mentioned.

Example:- I bought a CD. The CD cost me Rs. 199.
