The determiner is an important noun modifier which provides introduces and provides context to a noun, often in terms of quantity and possession. Determiners in English precede a noun or noun phrase and include articles, demonstratives, quantifiers and possessives.

Defination :-
Determiners are a class of words which determine the way we refer to a noun or nouns.
A , an , the ,same, Any , much, many, all , each, every , no, none are all called determiners.
- 'A' is used before a singular noun
Example :- a child, a teacher, a horror movie.
- 'An' is used before a singular noun beginning with a vowel sound ( A, E, I, O and U )
Example:- an apple, an egg, an orange , an umbrella.
- 'The' is used before a singular noun when it refers back to a noun already mentioned.
Example:- I bought a CD. The CD cost me Rs. 199.
The hospitable man
- 'The' is used before a thing when there is only one of its kind.
Example :- The Himalayas, The Earth, The Ganga etc.
NOTE :- We don't use article before names of countries or town such as India, Mumbai, Dubai, Russia etc.
