Diabetes is a group of diseases.

when we say that the person is suffering from diabetes then we get into mind that there will be no sugar in his life and he will not eat any kind of sweet thing and it will be boring animal.

but actually it is not the case

there are two types of diabetes

Diabetes mellitus and diabetes insipidus

mellitus means sweet. In this disease the patient urine will show the presence of sugar that is sweetness .

this is the case what we actually know about the diabetes .

more often the diabetes term is used for diabetes mellitus by non Medicos .

another one is diabetes insipidus.

for this let me discuss about hormone:--> antidiuretic hormone which is secreted by the pituitary gland.(*** actually it is not secreted by pituitary gland it is a separation of hypothalamus but it is reached to posterior pituitary axonally)**

not getting too much away from the topic there is a hormone vasopressin and another name is antidiuretic hormone if impairment affecting synthesis of ADH results in order many stability of the kidney to conserve water leading to water loss and dehydration this is called diabetes insipidus .

the only difference between the two is that there will be sugar in urine in the patient suffering from diabetes mellitus while not so in case diabetes insipidus.

in both the patient will suffer from diuretics that is the amount of urine will be double or more .

there will be more thurst in such patient as compared to the normal.

Hope this helps you

this is what i know all about this topic
