Explanation:

Diamagnets repel, and are repelled by a strong magnetic field. The electrons in a diamagnetic material rearrange their orbits slightly creating small persistent currents which oppose the external magnetic field.

Diamagnetic materials are repelled by a magnetic field ; an applied magnetic field creates an included magnetic field in them in the opposite direction , causing a repulsive force .In contrast , paramagnetic and ferromagnetic material are attracted by a magnetic field .
