what are difference between gills,book gills,book lungs or tracheal system?

Book gills :

  • They are Internal.

  • A gill found in the horseshoe crabs that consists of membranous folds arranged like the leaves of a book.

Book lungs :

  • They are External.

  • The book lungs themselves consist of a series of haemolymph filled plate-like structures.
