Yaaaaay! A question I'd be quite excited to answer, however I personally amnot able to answer about the Indians in India, but I can tell you about usSouth African Indians and what is unique to us and our culture.
Firstly I think we should start with food, the food is similar but definitely not the same. A "Durban" curry is different to an Indian curry which we sometimes find a bit bland…
One thing that is a proudly South African product is a Bunny. This is when you take a loaf of unsliced bread, and you cut it so you either have a ¼ bunny,½ bunny or you could even have a full loaf bunny, scoop out the soft inside,fill it with either a beans/mutton/chicken curry and you put the bread that was taken out on the top. This is generally eaten with carrot salad or vinegar chillies. It just depends on the person and their taste.
