Different types of excretory structures present in Periplaneta are; Malpighian tubules, fat bodies, Uricose glands, nephrocytes and cuticle. Malpighian tubule system is present on the junction of mid gut and hindgut consists of branching tubules emerging from alimentary canal. They absorb solute, water and wastes from the haemolymph. The waste material then released from the body in the form of solid nitrogenous wastes i.e. calcium oxalate or uric acid.
