What are different types of endoplasmic reticulum and write their function of each?

there are two types of endoplasmic reticulum (E.R)
1).rough endoplasmic reticulum
2). smooth endoplasmic reticulum.

1)..the rough endoplasmic reticulum is called because ribosome is attached to the surface of E.R.. the rough produce the protein that is transport out of the cell. it helps to maintain the shape of cell and towards the nuclear membrane. saccular shape.

2). the smooth endoplasmic reticulum has absence of ribosome. it takes part in lipid formation. Reservoir of calcium. detoxification and towards the cell membrane. tubular shape.

Smooth Endoplasmic reticulum - 

@ They do not bear ribosomes on them so called smooth .

@ They helps in lipid synthesis 

@ they helps in synthesis of steroid hormone in animal cells 

Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum - 

@ They found continuous with outer membrane of nucleus 

@ They bear ribosomes on them so called rough 

@ Their function is synthesis of protein
