As the biogas which contains methane, carbon dioxide, and carbon mono oxide can be combusted with oxygen, they can be used to produce heat energy to cook food or electrical energy to light bulbs and other electrical devices.  

It is also used as fuel to drive any engine following the same principles of production of heat or electricity.
