Force can be used to change the magnitude of velocity of an object (that is to mov the object slower or faster) or to change its direction of motion.Force can also change the shape and size of objects. Example: Pulling of a drawer, the box moves along the direction we push it etc :)

• Change in the position of objects:- The position of an object can be changed by applying a force to it .For example , we can pick up something and keep it in another place by applying a force to it .Similarly when we move in a lift there is a change in our position by the effect of the force that is supplied by the lift .

• Change in the speed of a body :- The speed of a moving body can be increased or decreased by the application of a force .For example, We can slow down a moving bicycle by applying the brakes .

• Change in the direction of a moving body :- A moving body can change its direction of a motion if a force is applied to it .For example , a moving car change its direction by the application of force by the steering wheel .

• Change in the shape and size of a body :- Whenever we press or stretch , we observe a change in its shape and size .For example , clay can moulded into different shapes by applying a force with our hands .
