Enzymes are biological catalysts, put into some words, they are chemical substances that help with regulating the speed of a chemical reaction. They either speed up a chemical process or slow out down by their action.
for example: the enzyme — salivary amylase. It's function is to fasten up the pace of digestion of Starch
