They can be exhausted by human activities. Resources of which a finite quantity is in existence. Oil and gas are exhaustible and be all sucked up and burnt up. A natural resource that cannot be increased by the natural forces of the environment is called exhaustible natural resources.

On the other hand inexhaustible resources will not extinguish.

exhaustible resources are those resources which cannot be replaced once they are used e. g coal, natural gas, aluminum, iron, copper, thorium, uranium etc. we can apply various latest techniques to extract every bit of valuable are , but cannot replace the minerals while as inexhaustible resources are those resources which are renewed by reproduction or by physical, mechanical or chemical processes.
