Exothermic Reaction :- The chemical reaction in which formation of product is accompanied by evolution of heat are known as Exothermic Reaction.

Reaction-->Product +Heat

Examples :-

C(s) +O₂ (g)---->Co₂(g) +Heat.

Endothermic Reaction:- The chemical reactions in which formation of product is accompanied by the absorption of heat are known as Endothermic Reaction.

Reactants ---->Product -Heat

Example:

C(s) +2S(g)----->CS₂ (l)-Heat.
