Exothermic reactions are reactions in which heat is given out as a product.
Eg.
C2H5OH+O2=CO2+H2O+heat and light

Hey There!
Exothermic Reactions :
Reactions in which heat energy is not absorbed & it evolves out is termed as exothermic reactions.
Except decomposition reaction, all reactions are exothermic reactions.
Examples :
C + O₂ → CO₂ + Heat
CaO + H₂O → Ca(OH)₂ + Heat
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
