basically , Flammable substances are those gases, liquids and solids that will ignite and continue to burn in air if exposed to a source of ignition..
example , sodium
whereas , non flammable substances are those substances that you cannot ignite it in air with a match or similar source of heat, then most of the material around you would be non-flammable: water, nitrogen, brick, glass, blocks of common metals, and more especially precious metals.

Flammable substances are those substances in which fire catches easily eg. Coal, petroleum whereas Inflammable substances are those in which fire don't catch easilyeg. wood.
