Floods are the overflow of water more than its normal limit, especially over dry areas.
There are three types of Floods, namely :-
1) Coastal Floods
2) Fluvial (river) flood, and
3) Pluvial(land /surface) flood.
HOW FLOODS ARE USEFUL?
Two ways in which Floods are useful are as follows :-
1) These sometimes may improve the ecosystem.
2) These make the soil more fertile and increases the land productivity especially in dry areas.
