Fullerene is an allotrope of carbon like graphite and diamond. They are molecules that are composed entirely of carbon, usually in the form of hollow sphere, ellipsoid or tube. Fullerene atoms have carbon atoms arranged pentagonally or hexagonally.

Preparation of fullerene: These are prepared in the inert conditions. When complex molecules are submitted to flash vacuum pyrolysis at very high temperature and high pressure, then fullerene molecules got prepared. These got prepared under very extreme conditions.
