Female gametes are called ova or egg cells, and male gametes are called sperm. Gametes are haploid cells, and each cell carries only one copy of each chromosome. These reproductive cells are produced through a type of cell division called meiosis.

gametes are reproductive cells in plants and animals. a male gamete and a female gamete fuse together to form a zygote. this zygote gets embedded to the uterus and the zygote forms a ball of cells. this developing stage is called embryo. then again it starts to develop the other body parts.

in female reproductive organs gametes are produced by the ovary every month.

in male testes produce the male gametes called sperms.

hope it helped. mark me brainliest
