Now lemme give you a good explaination , Gastric glands are the glands present in the stomach for the digestion of starch , proteins (mainly) now there are different glands present in different places of stomach ( fundus, cardiac and pyloric region) 1st type of gastric gland is chief/peptic/zymogenic cells which helps in digestion of proteins by secretion of pepsinogen, pro rennin and gastric lipase , 2nd type of cell is oxyntic/parietal which secretes HCl and CIF( castle’s intrinsic factor ) and last but not the least is goblet cells ( unicellular gland ) which secretes mucous .
