Ans:- Glycerides are a group of esters obtained from glycerol by the replacement of one, two, or three hydroxyl groups with a fatty acid: the principal constituent of adipose tissue.

Simple Lipids / Glycerides:                                                  

 These are esters of fatty acids and glycerol.      

 Glycerol is 1, 2, 3-trihydroxy propane.

 Glycerol may combine with one or more fatty acids through ester bonds to form monoglycerides, diglycerides and triglycerides.
