Simple Lipids / Glycerides:
These are esters of fatty acids and glycerol.
Glycerol is 1, 2, 3-trihydroxy propane.
Glycerol may combine with one or more fatty acids through ester bonds to form monoglycerides, diglycerides and triglycerides.
