First of all I will keep that seeds in water then leave it for some. after some we see that some seeds are floating upside the water and we know that seed which are damaged and hollow from inside are not good and healthy because it may be eaten by insects etc . It means the seeds which are floating are damaged and hollow from inside are no good by this week know that the seeds are good or not.
