TROPIC MOVEMENTS :- This movement is also known as directional movements. The movement of a plant either toward stimulus or away from it is called directional or tropic movement. these responses are generally slow.
> The types of tropic movements are:-
1- phototropism
2- gravitropism
3-hydrotropism
4- chemotropism
5- thigmotropism.
> NASTIC MOVEMENTS :-, In some plants, movement is neither towards Nor away from the stimulus such, movements are called Nastic Movements
- for example = Touch Me Not plant leaves bends and troop when plant is touched and this is an example of Nastic Movement.

Movement shown by the plant is called grow the irrelevant movement
For example closing of the leaves of plant Mimosa or Touch Me Not plant.
2. the opening and closing of the petals of lotus is an also an example of growth evolent movement
