Halides are compounds of Halogens.
They consist of a Halogen anion, also called a halide ion and a cation. Hence the name of halides.
Their naming is “(Cation name)(Halide)”
Examples of Halides are Sodium Chloride, Hydrogen Iodide, Methyl Chloride, etc.
