Homologous organs

                     

The organs which are same in size and shape, but different in their functions.

                       

Human body is consisted of hundreds of organs and some systems. Every organ has its functions as well as their own work. to carry out hundreds of process in human body, Millions of cells are produced.

                       

In short language, we can say that, Homologous organs means, organs whose size is same, but different in their functions.

There are not more organs with this type, But their are only some organs in our body, which can be called as Homologous organs.

           

Example:

1) Hands of Human body: Shape of hands of Human body is same, but their functions are different. Some people can write with their Right hand and some with left.

2) Legs: This is the same as like a Hands

3) Wings: Birds have same wings
