Homologous organs are the organs that have the same origin in different organisms but
 they've been developed along different directions due to adaptations to different needs.For example -the forelimbs of man,cheetah,whale and bat.

organs of various organisms which have same basic structure but perform different function are known as homologous organs.
eg-. forearm of humans and bat have same basic structure but humans use it different purposes and bat use it for flying as it is modified into wings.
