Transport system is needed in living organisms because it helps in the removal of carbon dioxide and the intake of oxygen through simple diffusion,it helps in the transport of hormones from the endocrine glands to needed sites through diffusion,it helps in the absorption of water in to the large intestines by osmosis,it helps in the absorption of water into the tubules of the nerve cells,it helps in the selective absorption of needed minerals like calcium salts by active transport,it helps to keep the shape of the cell by osmosis.
