Heya!! Here is your answer!

<b><Font size=4>Indicators

<b>Indicators, or well-known as acid-base indicators are used to find wether a substance is acidic or basic.

There are mainly three types of indicators:

✨Natural indicator

✨ Synthetic indicator

✨ Olfactory indicator

There are different kinds of indicators like litmus paper, Phenolpthalien, Turmeric juice,China-rose juice and red-cabbage juice.Noare w,I'll classify each to you.

⭐Litmus paper is a natural indicator. It is obtained from a kind of plant known as Litchens. There are two types of litmus paper.✨Red litmus & ✨Blue litmus.

✨Red litmus turns blue when it is dipped in a solution of base.

✨Blue litmus turns red when it is dipped in a solution of acid.

⭐Plenolphthalein in alcohol is another indicator. It is colourless. It remains colourless when dipped in acid and turns red or pink when dipped in basic medium.

⭐Turmeric juice is another. It turns reddish to deep brown in acidic medium and remains yellow I'm acidic or neutral medium.

⭐ China-rose juice is another example of a natural indicator. It turns green in basic and red in acidic solution.

⭐ Red-cabbage juice is another indicator which is purple in colour. It turns green in basic medium and red in acidic solution.

Now,finally let me tell you what is an acid and a base.

⭐An acid is a substance which dissolves in water to give H+ ions.

⭐A base is a substance which reacts with acids to form a neutralisation reaction.

✨ Hope it helps you ✨
