\implies Interstitial solid solutions are the solutions which are formed by placing atoms of one kind in to voids or interstices in the lattice of atoms of other substance.

\implies In the interstitial substances solute particles are shown in the interstices present in the atoms of solvent lattice the common example of interstitical solid solution is tungsten carbide.

\implies Even, some metals have tendency to dissolve large quantities of gases from solid solutions of gases in metals. For example Palladium and Platinum are capable of taking up hydrogen at room temperature to form solid solutions of the hydrogen in the metal.
