Solution:-

Intrusive igneous rocks:-

Sometimes the molten magma cools down deep inside the earth's crust. Solid rocks so formed are called Intrusive igneous rocks.

Extrusive igneous rock:-

When the molten lava comes on the earth's surface, it rapidly cools down and become solid. Rocks formed in such a way on the crust are called Rxtrusive igneous rock.

Note:-

Igneous is a Latin word ignis means fire.

Additional Information:-

Dark-colored extrusive igneous rock composed mainly of plagioclase and pyroxene.

The specimen shown is about two inches (five cm) across.

Diabase is an intrusive igneous rock composed mostly of plagioclase feldspar and pyroxene minerals.
