Rational Number includes numbers, which are finite or are recurring in nature. These consist of numbers, which are non-terminating and non-repeating in nature. Irrational Numbers includes surds such as √2, √3, √5, √7 and so on.

The irrational no. are the no. which are non terminating and non repeating.

ex :- 1.445444544445444445

Here in example do you see that the no.4 is increasing 1 term after five like :- 1.445 then 1 more 4 so 1.444544445 and so on it goes like that, till infinity.

On other side , the rational no can be end ..

and can be represented in p/q where q is not equal to zero

so, you only remember that IRRATIONAL no differ from rational coz they are non -terminating and non - repeating.
