Isotopes-

Atoms of same elements having same atomic number but different mass number are known as Isotopes.

Example-

(i) C^12 , C^13 , C^14

{ All have Same atomic number 6 }

(ii) N^14, N^15, N^16

{ All have Same atomic number 7 }

(iii) O^16, O^17, O^18

{All have Same atomic number 8 }

Extra Information

=> They have same chemical properties because they have seen number of electrons.

=> They have different physical properties.

=> They have different number of neutrons.
