Latitudes and the Longitudes are the imaginary lines running all over our globe.

The latitudes are lines which are running from north to south in direction. The longest latitude is the Equator which divides our earth in to 2 halves. They are the vertical lines

The longitudes decide our world's time. and then run from west to east. The l vertical lines are called longitude.

Latitudes - Distance between north or south pole to the earth's equator                   is called latitudes.
Longitudes -
Distance between east or west of the Greenwich meridian                       is called longitudes.

Divyankasc: MY ANSWER - Lattitude - The angular distance of a place north or south of the earth's equator, usually expressed in degrees and minutes. Longitude - The angular distance of a place east or west of the Greenwich meridian, usually expressed in degrees and minutes.
