In contrast to the attractive force between two objects with opposite charges, two objects that are of like charge will repel each other. That is, a positively charged object will exert a repulsive force upon a second positively charged object.

Heya user
Here is your answer !!

In static electricity , you might come across the words 'like charges' and 'unlike charges' .

Well , when two bodies are rubbed against each other ( through the process of conduction ) or through induction , they either develop same kind of charges ( both becomes positively charged or both becomes negatively charged ) or they develop opposite charges ( one gets negatively charged while the other one gets positively charged ) .

When the two bodies develop same kind of charges , they are said to possess like charges.
Like charges attract each other .

When the two bodies develop opposite kind of charges , they are said to possess unlike charges. Unlike charges repel each other .

Hope it helps !!
