immiscible liquids are those liquids which do not mix in water. examples include petrol and oil

The definitions of miscible and immiscible liquids are as follows -

Miscible liquids : The liquids which can be completely mixed with each other,by only physical process (no chemical reaction) ,are known as the miscible liquids. In the mixture of miscible liquids, seperate layers of liquids are not formed.

Example : Fruit juice and water.

Immiscible liquids : The liquids which cannot be mixed with each other,by only physical process (no chemical reaction) ,are known as the immiscible liquids. In the mixture of immiscible liquids, separate layers of liquids are formed.

Example : Oil and water.
