\fbox\blue{ What are Molecules? }

• Molecules are the smallest particles of any substance.

• A molecule is formed when two aur more atoms of the same different types of elements combine in a fixed ratio.

• It is responsible for all physical and chemical properties of that particular substance.

• Molecules are of three types : Monoatomic, diatomic and polyatomic.

• Atoms in a molecules are held together with two types of bonds : ionic bond and covalent bond.

• If we break molecule then properties of that substance are lost.

Additional Information

Monoatomic It is Composed of particle with single atom. there are no chemical bonds between particles. Monu atomic species except noble gases are not that stable.

Diatomic It is composed of molecules with two atoms. there are ionic and covalent bond between two atoms. Diatomic compounds are stable.

Polyatomic It is composed of several ions per atom. there are covalent and co-ordinate bonds. formed by bonding several atoms together.

Hope it helps you.
