AN ALGEBRAIC EXPRESSION CONTAINING 1 TERM IS KNOWN AS MONOMIAL. 
FOR EXAMPLE - X, 8xyz, 2xy.

AN ALGEBRAIC EXPRESSION CONTAINING 2 UNLIKE TERMS IS KNOWN AS BINOMIAL EXPRESSION.
FOR EXAMPLE -  a+5x

AN ALGEBRAIC EXPRESSION CONTAINING 3 UNLIKE TERMS THEN THE EXPRESSION IS CALLED TRINOMIAL EXPRESSION. 
FOR EXAMPLE - ax square + 5x+1 

AN ALGEBRAIC EXPRESSION CONTAINING MORE THAN 1 UNLIKE TERMS KNOWN AS MULTINOMIAL EXPRESSION. 
FOR EXAMPLE - 2xy+d+cx
