apart from this it has to win 6 % of the total votes and 4 seats in Lok Sabha in 4 states

there are seven national parties in our country eg BJP ,congress, NCP etc

National Parties are the parties which are working at many states for example BJP , INC etc

There are 6 national Parties namely BJP , INC , CPI , CPIM , NCP , BSP .

Criteria to become a national party are

A party must secure 6 percent of total votes in an election of Lok Sabha or assembly elections in four states and wins at least four seats in Lok Sabha .
