Non renewable resources are considered to be cheap and non polluting than convetional sources of energy. It is said that non conventional source of energy has a future in India because there are vast availability of these resources which are being used and going to be used. Some of these sources are:
Solar Energy: India has a lot of scope in tapping solar energy as it is located in a tropical country. An average of 20MW per square kilometre per annum of solar energy can be produced in our country. The largest solar power plant is located at Madhapur in Bhuj area of Gujarat.
Wind Energy: India is one of the leading producers of wind power in the world. Very large wind farms are located from nNagercoil to Madurai in TamilNadu.
India also produces energy sources like tidal energy, Bio gas, Geo thermal energy etc

non conventional energy comes from the sources which are renewable, which are naturally replenished by nature.
India receives a lot of sunlight.
solar energy will be cheap for farmers due to the sustainability and longetivity of solar cells
there are many remote parts of India where electricity is still not available 24 x 7 so solar panels will provide electricity there for the whole time.
