The particles in the nucleus of the cell, responsible for heredity are called chromosomes. Chromosomes are made up of biomolecules, called Nucleic acid.
Nucleic acid are mainly of two types—
- Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA)
- Ribonucleic acid (RNA)
