Olfactory indicators are a type of indicators which indicate whether a solution is acid or base on the basis of their smell. For example onion, clove, vanilla extract, etc. Like if you keep a sliced onion in a basic solution, it changes the smell of onion, whereas when put in an acidic solution, the smell of the onion is not lost.
