Organelles

  • Organelles were structures inside cells that perform a wide range of tasks.
  • The word literally translates to "little organs."
  • Organelles provide specialized functions to maintain a cell living in the very same way that organs including the heart, liver, stomach, as well as kidney, provide specific roles to keep cells alive.
