The hinder end of each chamber of cockroach's heart has a pair of minute, lateral and valvular openings called ostia, which allows the flow of blood from the pericardium into the heart only and not in reverse direction. In each segment, heart sends a pair of ex-current arteries.

Hey,
Ostia are structures which are related to circulatory system of cockroach.
There is a 13segmented heart in cockroach which lies in mid-dorsally below the terga in pericardial sinus.
At the posterior end of each chamber,a pair of these ostia are present laterally.
Ostia are guarded by auricular valves to check the flow of blood from the pericardial sinus to heart(these valves prevent back flow of blood from heart to pericardial sinus.)
HOPE THIS HELPS YOU.
