An organism which lives in or on another organism (its host) and benefits by deriving nutrients at the other's expense is known as Parasite.
The examples of parasite are :-
*stomach and gutworms (threadworm, hookworm)
*skin mites
*hair and body lice
*protozoa

Parasites are those organisms which depend on other living organisms (host ) for their nutrition in which they get benefits from hosts but host get harm from parasites.
There are two types of parasites :
1)) Ectoparasites ( e.g.bed bug )
✔️ bed bugs are sanguivores they sucks blood from the host and take their nutrition.they harm the host externally.
2)) endoparasite : (e.g. Taenia solium ) they take their nutrition from inside the host. In endoparasite the alimentary Canal is absent because they absorb digested food of host.
Facts : the members of phylum platyhelminthes and aschelminthes are exclusively parasites.
