There are four forms of the French partitive article; they correspond to some or any in English.

In the singular

Masculine =du

Du café / du chocolat …..

Feminine = de la

De la glace / de la mayonnaise …

Before vowel or mute h = de l'

De l’eau / de l”huile

In the plural

Masc + Fem = des

Des personnes (fem) / des pigeons (masc

Partitive articles tell the quantity of something. It means 'some'. We have 4 partitive articles in french. These are-

Du (masculine singular)

De la (feminine singular)

De l' (masculine/feminine vowel)

Des (masculine/feminine plural)

For example:

Vous achetez du pain à la boulangerie, de la créme à la cremerie, de l'œuf et des gâteaux.

Exception- partitive articles are changed to de/d' while forming negatives.

Example: Il n'y a pas d'œuf dans le frigo.

Il n'y a pas de crayons dans la trousse.

Pls mark as the brainliest.
