What are Phanerogams? Name its two groups along with the criteria of division.

Phanerogams includes higher plants that bear flowers and seeds.
They contain an embryo  along with stored food which serves for the initial growth of the embryo during germination.
The plant body is sporophytic and differentiated into root,stem and leaves.
Vascular system (xylem and phloem) are well developed.
Sex organs are multicellular.
Criteria for division:
on the basis of naked or protected ovules and absence or presence of fruits , the sub kingdom Phanerogams are divided into two subdivision. They are:
1. Gymnosperms
2. Angiosperms
