Plant hormones are chemicals that regulate plants growth.There are four types of hormone:-
1) Auxin:- The hormone called auxin in the apical part of the shoot helps in enlargement of cells.
2) Gibberellins:- Hormones like gibberllins help in stem enlongation.
3) Cytokinin:- Cytokinin helps in cell division.
4) Abscisic acid:- The hormone, absicsic acid, is effective in prevention and retardation of growth,leaf wilting,etc.
